Date posted

The Hazard

Scalding - incorrect fitting of the supplied white lid gasket may result in release of hot liquids.

What to do

Consumers should contact Breville to register for a new lid gasket kit which will be sent to them by Breville, free of charge.

In the meantime customers can continue to safely use the appliance, by following these simple instructions:

1. Check that the lid gasket is installed correctly before each use. Instructions are provided in the appliance's instruction manual.
2. Do not lean across the release vent when depressing.
3. Do not force the appliance open. After depressurising, it should be possible to open the appliance using only one hand.
