The Hazard

If the defect occurs, the shoulder straps can loosen and may not adequately protect your child in the event of a motor vehicle crash.

What to do

Contact Britax Childcare NZ to arrange a remedy kit to be mailed to you. Kits will be sent out from 1 September. In the interim you can continue to use the seat safely by making sure the red harness adjustor button locks in the out position when securing your child.

Models Affected – manufactured between 1 August 2014 and 29 July 2015

The Problem

The red harness adjuster button may stick in the down (unlocked) position after the harness is loosened. Do not use the seat if the button remains down (unlocked) - It is unsafe.

Product Identifiers

Model and date are found on the label under the cover at the front of the seat. Only seats with this ClickTight dial, within the date range and without green labels beside the model label, are included in the recall
