Holstens - Outdoor Festoon / Bistro Lights

Date posted

The Hazard

Some of the Edison fittings have been fitted with reverse polarity.

If someone attempts to remove a globe while the power is connected, and touches the metal side of the globe fitting while it is still in contact with the holder, they may experience an electric shock.

What to do

Stop using these products and do not attempt to change the globes while the string of lights is connected to the power.

Consumers can return the lights to the place of purchase for a full refund or a correctly configured and certified replacement product (when available).
