The Hazard

If the harness is loosened the child restraint is no longer effective in restraining the child in the event of an accident or sudden braking, increasing the risk of injury.

What to do

If you have a Euro A2 car seat with a date of manufacture between 16 September 2014 and 12 March 2015, contact IGC Dorel to arrange for a free replacement trim for your car seat.

To use the car seat safely in the interim, please ensure that harness adjustor is free from any impediments when fitting a child into seat.

Availability

Sold from April 2015 through The Baby Factory. 41 units were sold.

The Problem

In some instances, the fabric around the harness adjuster mechanism may get caught, allowing the shoulder harnesses to loosen without lifting the adjuster.
