The wiring to the overload switch under the compressor housing is not reinforced insulated with 2 layers of insulation and is in a reachable location.
If the user reaches into the inside of the cavity of the compressor body and touches it there is a risk of electric shock.
What to do
Stop using and unplug the Ryobi Compressor from mains power and refer to the following next steps:
1. Contact the RYOBI product service team on 0800 028 491 or email email@example.com and let them that you have this product.
2. During the level 4 COVID-19 lockdown, please do not return the product to Bunnings, instead, unplug it from mains power, label it as a recalled product and store it in a secure area out of reach of children until after the lockdown and let other people at home know that it should not be used.
3. When the necessary COVID-19 level 4 restrictions have been lifted, and Bunnings resumes normal operations RYOBI will contact you to let you know when you can return the product to Bunnings for either:
a. a replacement new version of the product (once it becomes available); or
b. a refund of the purchase price paid for the product.
