Shark Rocket Vacuum Cleaner (Model No. HV300NZ)

The Hazard

A faulty cord assembly that may result in premature cord failure and loss of power has been reported in some HV300NZ units near the strain relief.

What to do

Consumers are advised to unplug their vacuum cleaner at the wall and not to use again until it has been repaired.

Consumers are advised to register their details online or call the Shark Hot Line to make arrangements to have the cord and plug replaced free of charge.


Sold through the TV Shop and electrical retailers including - Mitre 10, Farmers, Harvey Norman, Noel Leeming and 100% Appliances.

The Problem

Risk of Burn and Electric Shock.

Product Identifiers

The recall covers units of Shark Rocket Model No. HV300NZ manufactured from 16 January 2014 to 15 November 2014. These units bear a production code in the range of 0314A through 4614A.
