The Hazard

Airbag replacement: the subject vehicles are equipped with front passenger Takata air bag inflators replaced as a like-for-like replacement under a previous recall. These inflators contain a non-desiccated ammonium nitrate propellant. There is potential for the airbag inflator to rupture if activated, possibly causing life threatening injuries to vehicle occupants. For involved vehicles, these inflators will be replaced with an improved type.

What to do

As an owner of an involved vehicle, you will be contacted by registered letter requesting you to contact your nearest authorised Toyota dealer to arrange a convenient time to have the repairs completed at no cost. Alternatively, contact Toyota's customer dialogue centre to discuss.
