Can-Am Defender 2021 equipped with snow tracks

The Hazard!

When the Can-Am Defender vehicles are equipped with a snow track kits and used in snow, the stock CVT air intake may become completely obstructed with snow.

With high loads, the drive belt could overheat, break into pieces and start a fire from the CVT enclosure.

This issue can happen on the Can-Am Defender vehicles if they are equipped with a track kit, used in the snow and have no CVT air intake relocation kit installed.

This situation will not occur once a Can-Am CVT air intake relocator kit is installed.

What to do...

For the owners that have track kits and are using it in snow, BRP will reimburse or pay for the installation of a CVT air intake relocating kit.

This service should take one hour. There is no part to be destroyed or changed.

Once a Can-Am CVT air intake relocator kit is installed the issue will not occur.
